Decidim is a platform for public participation, free and secure technology, with all democratic guarantees. It stands out for its implementation in both local and global terms: from the City Council of Barcelona, Helsinki or Mexico City, to initiatives such as SomEnergia, LaFede or FAVB. Do you want to put it into practice?
Canòdrom continues our training offer in the use of this platform. In this first specialization course, we will learn how to elaborate a participatory budget with Decidim, either from the proposals collected from citizens or by elaborating our own. We will also learn in more detail how to shape one of the key (and often forgotten) phases in the preparation of a participatory process: the monitoring of the participatory actions collected on the platform. Throughout two monographic sessions we will explore the possibilities offered by the Decidim components to respond to these needs.

✅ Session 1: Participatory Budgeting
🧑🏽💻 Tasks
Publish a Participatory Process. The title of the process should include your name, following the example: "Participatory Budgeting Process (Ada Lovelace)."
Publish proposals component and enrich it with proposals. The proposals should include a title, a description with enriched text, scope and category, card images, and geolocation. In some of them, it is advisable to add attached documentation and classify it into folders.
Publish budget component and enrich it with budgets. Remember that when configuring this new component, you must select a workflow and the rules you decide. Once published, add two budgets with different rules and enrich them with the projects (previously proposals) that you consider and participate in to test that the operation is as desired.
