A participatory process is a sequence of participatory activities (e.g. first filling out a survey, then making proposals, discussing them in face-to-face or virtual meetings, and finally prioritizing them) with the aim of defining and making a decision on a specific topic.
Examples of participatory processes are: a process of electing committee members (where candidatures are first presented, then debated and finally a candidacy is chosen), participatory budgets (where proposals are made, valued economically and voted on with the money available), a strategic planning process, the collaborative drafting of a regulation or norm, the design of an urban space or the production of a public policy plan.

About this process
Specialize in participatory budgeting and accountability
Decidim is a platform for citizen participation, free and secure technology, with all democratic guarantees. It stands out for its implementation in both local and global terms: from the City Council of Barcelona, Helsinki or Mexico City, to initiatives such as SomEnergia, LaFede or FAVB. Do you want to put it into practice?
In Canòdrom we continue our training offer in the use of this platform. In this first specialization course, we will learn how to elaborate a participatory budget with Decidim, either from the proposals collected from citizens or elaborating our own. We will also learn in more detail how to shape one of the key (and often forgotten) phases in the preparation of a participatory process: the monitoring of the participatory actions collected on the platform. Throughout two monographic sessions we will explore the possibilities offered by the Decidim components to meet these needs.
👉 It is essential to have completed the initial course Decidim: Learn from scratch.
Session 1: Participatory budgeting. Learn the basic concepts and the keys to its configuration.

Session 2: Accountability. Know the keys to its administration.

With the active participation in this training, you will obtain a certificate of participation.
